This Privacy Policy explains how Shrunk ("we", "us", the "Service") handles information when you use our image compressor, resizer and converter. The short version: your images never leave your device, and we don't run servers that could receive them.

1. Your images are processed entirely on your device

Shrunk performs all decoding, resizing, compression and format conversion locally in your web browser using Web Workers. Your photos and files are never uploaded to any server, never transmitted over the network, and never stored by us. There is no upload endpoint to receive them in the first place. Once the page is loaded, the core tool works even if you disconnect from the internet.

2. Information we do not collect

• We do not collect, store, or have access to the images or files you process.
• We do not require an account, email address, or any sign-up to use the tool.
• We do not use tracking pixels or advertising cookies to process your images.
• We do not sell, rent, or share personal data — because we don't collect it.

3. Information that may be processed automatically

Like most websites, our hosting provider may automatically process limited technical information (such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested) in server logs for security and to keep the Service running reliably. This data is handled by our hosting and CDN providers and is not used to identify you personally. If we add privacy-respecting, aggregate analytics in the future, we will update this policy and ensure no image content is ever included.

4. Local browser storage

Shrunk stores small preferences directly in your browser (for example, your light/dark theme choice via localStorage). This information stays on your device, is not transmitted to us, and can be cleared at any time by clearing your browser's site data.

5. Third-party services

The Service is delivered as static files through a hosting/CDN provider. Fonts and assets are self-hosted where possible to minimise third-party requests. We do not embed third-party advertising or social tracking scripts in the core tool.

6. Children's privacy

Shrunk is a general-purpose utility and is not directed at children under 13. Because we do not collect personal information, we do not knowingly collect data from children.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be reflected here.
